Friendly staff, beautiful llocation
We were pleasantly surprised they had a big bouncy castle laid on for the kids! But they deflated it for the Sunday much to the disappointment of my 3 year old!!! We were very happy with our stay and the food was superb! The pool is great with a jacuzzi and bubbles area in the main pool.
No problems, the lift needs a service, sorry forgot to mention that to reception slipped my mind on check out. It's probably still safe but very clunky and a bit unnerving and stops sometimes out of level with the floors!
It was my first visit and I found the staff friendly and helpful. All the necessary facilities were at hand and any query was swiftly dealt with no fuss. I would stay at Bloomfield House again and I would recommend it to friends.
No issues - it ticked all the boxes for me. If I have to be really picky the view was not great!!
The lovely suroundings
I only stayed One night to meet up with friends in Mullingar. The Staff were very friendly and the service was fast, food was excellent in the dining room that night. The Hotel is in a beautiful location with plentyto do.
My complaint is that on arrival the girl in the Reception did not have a record of my booking, which I booked directly with you through the internet. However she later found the booking and a room was given (426) I returned to the reception to advise that I was not happy with the bathroom to be told "well that's all we have " and that's it. Anybody else who stayed in that room ever complained. When I asked would there be a reduction, as I was not happy, I was told No Way. To say the least I was most disappointed. It was too late to try another Hotel. To recommend your Hotel I would advise them to check out the room before hand, not good value for money.
It was very peaceful and relaxing, which was what we needed.
The only thing we didn't like was the unfortunate timing of the emptying of the septic tank, but like every other job it has to be done at some point or other.
We (my wife and I) stay regular in the bloomfeild and simply love staying there.. An hour from Dublin its suits us lovely.. We always get a warm welcome...very important. Thank you.
The staff were friendly, excellent food and facilities in a lovely setting.
Location, and it made us feel we were in another country, and not around the centre of Ireland. An overnight stay felt like we were away for a few days, plus the staff are superb, and a credit to the hotel. We will be back.
A very nice setting for a wedding. The meal and breakfast were lovely. The residents bar was very facilitating.
The fact that all the vodka in the bar was Huzzar whilst there was Smirnoff bottles on the optics (all empty) .For a 4 star hotel I feel this is unacceptable. There was no light on upstairs corridor when we were retiring to bed. There are 2 steps down and with inadequate lighting this is very dangerous.
Good old fashioned service, especially the young lady who served us at dinner.
Friendly, inviting staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was of good quality, although there was only five diners all evening, so there was no pressure on the kitchen. Hotel cleanliness is good.
TV reception was poor, RTE1 picture was scrambled. Only one cup and saucer on the tea making facility tray. Thought this would be rectified on the second day as it was clear there were two people staying in the room, but no joy. Breakfast was adequate, but not great. I think cooked breakfasts should be fresh and not kept warm under heat light. There was a wedding on the second night of our stay and people were smoking in the corridor near one of the front doors.
vry friendly and professional staff... i requested breakfast room service at 7.30 and a pleasant lady was there with the tray at 7.30.. superb hotel, great location outside Mullingar with faboulous views on Lake Ennell (lough)..
My room was lovely and staff were mostly accomatating.. I had an issue with an early check in that went wrong and staff were mostly accomatating..
I had booked an early check in as I had a baby with me and he was page boy at a wedding.. My room was not ready when I arrived at 11.30. Other guest attending the wedding were given there keys without booking the early check in. This caused me some problems as although hotel gave me a Temporary room to get the baby sorted. I had to move about an hour before the wedding to my own room. Staff where quite helpful tho..
The professional, friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Tasty, relaxing evening meal and great breakfasts. Good location, quiet, scenic, yet close to town and road network in any direction.(need a car)
